"Kind of depends where you are"
I guess it really comes down to your local chapter. The one near me was decent enough, but I’ve heard others take forever to get back to people. The site is fine, nothing amazing, but the overall experience seems to vary a lot by area.

"Way easier than I expected"
I was nervous about the needle, I always kind of am, but the phlebotomist was super calm and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. They found my vein right away, checked in on me a couple times, and the poke barely hurt. The chair was comfy enough too, which helped, and I felt taken care of the whole time. I’d definitely go back to donate again.

"Helpful site, but I got a little lost"
I used redcross when I was trying to figure out where to donate, and overall it was easy to find the donation pages. I can’t remember if I checked the reports before or after clicking around the program pages, but at some point I found them and they were there, just not super easy to understand. I wish the site explained more plainly where the money goes and how much is used for each program. Maybe I missed it at first, or maybe it was buried later on, but it felt like you had to dig around a bit. The site is useful, I just think it could use clearer, simpler transparency for regular people

"Help showed up, just took a while"
I checked Redcross.org during the storm, and it did have some helpful info when things were getting stressful. But the response in our area felt slow. I know they were probably stretched thin, but when you’re sitting there waiting for updates, you really notice every delay. Still, I’m glad they eventually showed up and helped people who needed it.

"Accommodations took a bit of digging"
I was able to find the accessibility accommodation request eventually, but it took more clicking around than I expected. It’s nice that the option is there, though I wish it were a little easier to spot.

"Pretty much what I expected"
I wanted to donate, but the closest blood drive I could find was way across town and the available times were kind of awkward. The site itself worked fine, so I can’t really complain about that, but it just confirmed what I already figured, donating sounds easy until you try to find a nearby time that actually works. Not convenient for me this time.

"I found the site really easy..."
I found the site really easy to use and got the local donation info quickly. It loaded fine on my phone, and once you get to the appointment part, the steps are clear enough to follow without much effort.

"The training was solid overall. I’m…"
The training was solid overall. I’m usually a little cautious with anything that involves learning new processes, especially if there’s room for mistakes later, but this felt clear and well-structured enough that I was comfortable following along.

"Help Came, But Way Too Late"
After the fire, I applied for aid and was told things would move quickly. Instead, I spent weeks waiting and making call after call trying to get answers. Some of the staff were kind, but it felt like every person told me something different, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. When the money finally came, it did help, but it arrived long after we needed it most.

"Volunteer stuff was super disorganized"
I signed up to volunteer and it was kind of a mess. I barely got any clear info ahead of time, emails showed up late, and then my role got changed at the last minute. It really felt like no one knew who was actually in charge. I wanted to help, but the whole thing made me feel like my time didnt really matter.

"I tried to make a donation twice, and…"
I tried to make a donation twice, and the form crashed both times. It was really frustrating, and I can imagine other customers who genuinely want to donate might just give up if this keeps happening.

"Cancelled Class, But Rebooking Was Easy"
I was supposed to take a first aid class, but it got cancelled the day before, which was frustrating. I had already rearranged my schedule to make it work, so the short notice was not ideal.

That said, the email from the Red Cross was straightforward and explained what happened. It also had a link to choose a new date, and I was able to switch to a weekend class myself without having to call anyone, which I appreciated.

I do wish they had given more of a heads-up, because that part was inconvenient. But the actual rebooking process was smooth, and I got the new confirmation quickly. Not a perfect experience, but they handled it decently...

"They helped fast after the flood"
After the flood, they got help to us really quickly, which was a huge relief. The paperwork was kinda slow, but overall I’m grateful for how they handled things

"Notifications were sorta confusing"
I signed up on redcross.org, and the notifications were sorta unclear. I got emails and alerts, but they didn’t really explain what I needed to do next or whether anything was actually confirmed. A few messages felt like they were missing details, so I had to click around to piece things together. For something important, I feel like the updates should be a lot clearer. It ended up being frustrating...

"Felt a little misled, but the care was good"
I booked my blood donation through American Red Cross and went in last week. i felt a little misled because the process online made it seem like I’d be in and out super quickly, but there was more waiting and sitting around than I expected.

That said, the staff were really kind once I was done donating. They made sure I rested, had water and snacks, and didn’t rush me at all. I also got the post-donation tips by email later that night, which helped because I’d already forgotten some of what they told me. I was a bit tired afterward, but overall it was an easy and caring experience.

"Worked right when I needed it"
I’ve used the Red Cross app a few times now and, it’s been really solid. It hasn’t crashed on me, and the alerts came through fast... which was a big help when the weather got bad

"Support Was Disappointing"
I reached out to support hoping to get my issue sorted out, but it took way longer than I expected to hear back. When they finally responded, I didn’t feel like they really helped much or understood what I was dealing with. Overall, it was a frustrating experience for me.

"Not gonna lie, the place was..."
Not gonna lie, the place was clean enough overall, but the bathroom definitely could’ve used a bit more attention.

"My recent donation appointment ran way behind"
I booked my blood donation through redcross.org and got there right on time, but I still ended up sitting around for almost an hour before anyone got me started. To be fair, the staff I talked to were nice, and it really did seem like they were just backed up that day.
I know delays happen, but since this was my most recent experience, it’s kind of sticking with me. The appointment setup made me think things would move along smoothly, and that just wasn’t the case. I’m not sure I’d book again anytime soon unless I knew I had a lot of extra time to spare...

"I signed up to volunteer through redcross.org..."
I signed up to volunteer through redcross.org it was way smoother than I expected. The directions were easy to follow, the emails showed up when they said they would, and I was able to get through the training without feeling confused or stuck. A couple of pages loaded a little slowly, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, I was happy with the process and felt ready to jump in and help.
